Welcome to the Moody High School Website.
Our website was temporarily down for a few weeks in the summer. We
apologize for the inconvenience. We were looking into a change in
service providers, but we came back to what we had. We are glad to be
back up on web and hope that you are able to make full use of this
invaluable resource. I strongly encourage you to check the website
frequently and pay particular attention to the calendar function. We
try to list all events happening through the calendar on our high school
page. It is the best way to keep up with your student's many
activities.
We are very excited about the upcoming school year. We have made
several upgrades to facilities around the district. At the high school,
we are very proud to unveil the newly renovated track. The new surface
appears very soft and durable. We look forward to utilizing it for
both students and community members. We appreciate the patience of the
community while the track was shut down for renovation. Our MISD
maintenance crew has been hard at work. We remodelled the cafeteria
kitchen and put in new floor tile. We have also replaced some light
fixtures and hope to brighten up areas such as the gym. The senior
class of 2013 contributed to a new Bearcat mural that can be seen in the
hallway at the entrance to the gymnasium. Also in the hallway entrance
are some new pictures honoring some of our special athletes that have
attained honors such as being named to the All State Team in their
respective sport. Thank you to Coach Wilson and the Athletic Booster
Club for these additions. We have also added two new white rock beds in
the front of the school. These beds covered areas that were bare and
had trouble growing grass. All of these efforts were made possible by
the continuous support of our MISD school board of trustees.
Thank you for visiting our website and stay patient as we continue
to update it. We have several new employees and will be updating and
adding them to our faculty directory.

I also want to encourage anyone interested to look into becoming a
substitute teacher next year. We are always looking for people to fill
in and help out. If you are interesting the opportunity to substitute
